October Persons' Day
CFUW Orangeville & District will have a ZOOM meeting
taking place on
Wednesday October 20
at 7 p.m.
Persons' Day marks the occasion in 1929 when the historic decision to include women in the definition
of 'persons' was handed down by Canada's highest court of appeal.
The Persons' Day celebration is an annual event for our Club. This year our keynote speaker is Senator Karen Sorensen, who is a former resident of Orangeville, and is an accomplished community leader with experience working with all orders of government and the private sector.
This event is free but you must register in advance.
Learn more about Senator Sorensen here. Learn more about Persons' Day here. Complete your registration here. More details are in the October newsletter. All are welcome!
Please be safe and stay healthy.
Please remember we have a scent-free policy
at all our in-person meetings.
